Similar to the FIRST Robotics Competition, the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) allows students to design, build and compete a robot that they build with some adult supervision. The FTC robot kit may be reusable from year to year, but students are still driven to create new ideas, market their team and fundraise. And they're in middle school!
Most of our FTC students taking those science, design, manufacturing, marketing and teamwork skills to continue on into the FRC team.
Teams 5980 and 6283 were started in 2012 and are nicknamed Titanium and Platinum Tech Vikes, respectively.
